All Californians deserve access to our spectacular coast. California's 'Endless Summer A Coast for All’ license plates will fund programs that bring thousands of Californians to the coast each year. Proceeds from the sale of the plate will support surf camps, boat trips, tide-pooling, and outdoor education programs. They will also fund access amenities such as beach wheelchairs and mobility mats. The Endless Summer license plate lets you show that California’s coast is for everyone.
The Endless Summer plate captures the iconic design of the poster for the classic film created by Bruce Brown, that is celebrated as one of the best surfing movies of all time, ‘The Endless Summer’. The movie brought surfing to the mainstream and established California as a global surfing destination.

The Endless Summer plate is a Specialized License Plate benefiting programs of the State Coastal Conservancy, a California State Agency. Established in 1976, the Coastal Conservancy exists to protect and improve coastal lands and waterways, to help people get to and enjoy the outdoors, and to sustain local economies along California’s coast.

Since its creation, the Conservancy has built hundreds of miles of trails and preserved hundreds of thousands of acres of wildlife habitat, coastal farmland, and scenic open space. Many of the most-loved scenic, natural, and recreational resources of the California coast and the San Francisco Bay Area have been protected by the work of the Conservancy and its many partners.
Funding from this plate will be directed to programs that promote coastal access, make coastal lands welcoming to all, and increase opportunities for coastal enjoyment.
